PRESS RELEASE: MELBOURNE EVENT CELEBRATES WOMEN AND THE NEW WAVE OF CREATIVE MARKETING
Ministers, Award winning film directors and marketing executives unite to celebrate the growth of the the Australian Fashion Film industry.
Melbourne, 12th March 2018: Over the weekend, Australian Fashion Film Awards (AFFA) hosted an exclusive marketing breakfast presented as part of the Ideas Program of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival. The breakfast was dedicated to discussing the increasing importance of the video and fashion film content in engaging audiences.
AFFA was delighted to welcome Minister of Trade and Investment Philip Dalidakis join the breakfast and Melbourne City Councillor Beverley Pinder to open the panel discussion.

It was a great celebration of women in marketing leading the way in during these innovative times. Other notable guests included digital influencers Paige Harman, Demi Harman, Roberto Malice and Anja Barisic, CEO of FinTech Australia Sarah Grace Worboys and former Christian Dior designer and style expert Jon Michail.
Australian Fashion Film Awards (AFFA) founder and creative director Anastasia Fai said it was a wonderful event that discussed the latest trends in digital marketing and acknowledged the amazing work women are contributing to this field.
“Fashion film content goes beyond videos for clothing labels for the simple reason that fashion is in everything we do and so whether it’s a suitcase, stationary, furniture or cutlery – we look for fashion to help us communicate our personal style. Naturally, In business terms, fashion film is simply a marketing content targeting audiences who care about style, aesthetics and attention to details.”
MasterCard’s Sarah Pike revealed that their creative cinematic marketing campaign achieved 50% higher engagement than other campaigns and Jessie Oldfield added: “After releasing the first fashion film for Country Road, Country Road had its highest month of revenue,” proving that fashion film content delivers direct return on investment.
