Melbourne will play host this year to the 2016 Australian Fashion Film Awards red carpet ceremony. An International judge panel of high-caliber individuals will select the winners to celebrate the best fashion films. The exclusive event will be attended by 150 VIP, influencers and industry guests at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) on December 12th.

Melbourne, Australia, 16th November 2016: The Australian Fashion Film Awards 2016 (AFFA) finalists have been announced and will be voted on by a revered 9-member jury that includes Negin Mirsalehi (International Celebrity Fashion Blogger), Michael Goldberg (Creative Director of Victoria’s Secret), Evan Greene (Chief Marketing Officer of the GRAMMY’S).

AFFA founder, Anastasia Fai said: “AFFA 2016 Jury panel is a carefully selected group of people, who represent the best in the field and deliver a truly rounded perspective on the fashion and film industries. We’re very proud to bring attention of so many international industry leaders to our Australian event”.

The 27 fashion films presented to the jury include works from Vogue, Paspaley, The Woolmark Company and Briony. “The talent have worked and delivered and now it is time for them to be celebrated and recognised. The finalists have been chosen and it is now in the hands of our expert judges. May the best films win!”, says Ms Fai.

Winners of the 11 categories will be announced on December 12th at a red carpet ceremony themed in a glamorous Venetian Carnival in Melbourne, which will be held at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI). Last year’s’ winners include Baz Luhrmann, Renya Xydis and Gracie Otto for the work in films for Chanel and RUSHH Magazine respectively.

The AFFA 2016 event theme is a Modern Venetian Carnival and guests are encouraged to introduce masks and headpieces to their fashionable ensembles.
